This is a beautiful photograph of Natalie, mysterious and poignant, but eerily reminding me of how Coast Guard Captain Roger Smith described her appearance when he took her body ashore. She had remained alive in the ocean for hours upon hours, struggling for life while her husband drank scotch with his skipper, postponing the vital call that had to be made in order for Natalie to be rescued alive. She appeared as beautiful as she is in this photograph when she was found--because she HAD survived throughout the night.

I am still having problems posting comments. I can make blog entries, but cannot post comments under my account--only annoymously, so I will sign each comment I make that can't go under my account name. Marti

ReplyDeleteThere is no question that valuable time was wasted and done so deliberately.

ReplyDeleteIn regards to signing in. I had the same problem back in May. I made a second ID for myself and then chose between the two--that seemed to work for me...I have been able to sign in with my screen name, since.
I have this picture on a postcard.
