Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour is doing well this November, as we continue to remember Natalie Wood. I will continue to post updates about the case at this blog. Thank you to all readers, and to all who've signed the petition to help get the Natalie Wood case reopened.
This morning, GNGS is #24 in True Crime, and in the top 25 of two other categories. No, this tragedy will not go away until this piece of Hollywood history is officially corrected. Natalie Wood didn't fall off her boat while performing a chore in her socks and nightgown. She was on the open back deck in the middle of a terrible argument with her husband when she "somehow" ended up in the cold, dark water she feared her entire life. Please sign the petition is you already haven't.

Marti, I bought the paperback today. Your rating in true crime is number 21 books at this time. That's quite an accomplishment for Natalie. People need to know about this injustice.
ReplyDeleteI meant number 21 in its genre. True crime is where this book belongs
ReplyDeleteMarti,
ReplyDeleteWe're all so proud of you for staying with this project in all kinds of weather. You've really weathered some storms and here you are, number 21 (lucky #) in the catagory this story fits best. I know it will even go higher as more people learn about the horrible investigation into such a wonderful woman's murder.
Marti, my dear, you just shot up to #18 in True Crime!Congrats!
ReplyDeleteQuestion: Do they new versions include new information that wasn't in the hardcover?
ReplyDeleteYes, the paperback has a new introduction and an epilogue focusing on the new information told by Coast Guard Captain Roger Smith who retrieved Natalie from the ocean. He believes she suffered throughout the night in the cold water. Other than that both versions are the same. Kindle includes updates, too.
ReplyDeleteIt must have been especially awful for Roger Smith knowing as much as he does about what it means to have a water death. Then to think she might have died very close to her rescue? Terrible. It's time for all of the people who have been haunted by this event, to be relieved of the burden.
