  1. It will be good to watch Natalie's movies. I find them hard to get at the rental stores. Also, I noted some of the descriptions about her movies and her life. They talked about Brainstorm and how Natalie and Walker were maybe having an affair. I was surprised that this was put in the description. Also, Wagner went to the set as he was suspicious. Wagner talks about how jealous he was of Walken and Natalie being emotionally unfaithfull to him. Yet, I heard rumours of him and Stephanie Powers. On Wagner's Facebook page there are tons of pictures of them and attending promotional events. I think there may be one of Natalie and not many of Jill either.

  2. isn't it sad that TCM had to comment about Natalie and the scant lurid details that have 'stuck' to her memory about the supposed Walken affair rumours. I don't have TCM, but it would be nice if they'd mention GNGS to get viewers interested in what really happened!!!!

  3. It was Robert Wagner who is responsible for the Walken affair rumors. He told Gavin Lambert that he felt that Natalie was having an affair with Walken. In all likelihood Wagner was sleeping with St.John while Natalie was in North Carolina filming Brainstorm. In his book Wagner contradicted what he told Lambert about a few things including this supposed affair. Wagner is a liar, a fake, a phony.

  4. I read the "bio' that is posted on the TCM site about Natalie. It is an embarrassment. I submitted the following in hopes that someone there has the power and fortitude to update it with actual facts. (TCM Invites it's members to point out errors. I was all too happy to do so.)

"The details of Natalie Wood's death in this Bio is hopelessly outdated and hugely inaccurate. She was not found after an all night frantic search by the coast guard, she was found 90 minutes after the coast guard was called. Which was approximately 6 hours after she was known to be missing. Also she wasn't wearing a down nightgown, she was wearing a flannel night gown and a down jacket. This is an important detail because it was the down jacket that allowed her to float all those hours in the cold dark water. Yes, she drowned but only after hypothermia set in. Had an official search been called immediately Natalie Wood would be alive today. Please discontinue using this erroneous biography. Natalie Wood deserves the truth and so do we."

  5. Good for you, thank you. I don't know if it's relevant but Robert Osborne and Robert Wagner are friends. That description sounds like something RJ would have invented. He is a pathetic liar.

  6. I think Robt. Osborne is friends with everyone in Hollywood and rightly so. If it weren't for TCM and Robert Osborne we wouldn't have nearly the access we do to all these great old movies and old Hollywood legends. By the way, be sure to catch what Osborne has to say about Natalie Wood this month. Priceless.

  7. RJ was there when Osborne got his Star on the Walk of Fame.
I love Osborne's story about the interview at Natalie's house. I can picture her sitting there helping him with his papers and giggling.

  8. Why don't I see "This Property is Condemned" on the list?

How can you leave off Ms Wood's BEST MOVIE...EVER?
They have "Meteor" on there...is that for comic relief??? Are you people kidding? You do a retrospective of Ms Wood's work and you leave off "This Property is Condemned" and "The Cracker Factory." The people that came up with this list should be fired...now.

  9. Many people feel the same way, that Property should have been aired. The Cracker Factory is a TV movie.
I would have omitted Meteor also, I would have preferred Peeper over Meteor.

  10. I added "Cracker Factory" to show that there was other good work out there...and that is one of Ms Wood's best. It's a middle-aged Natalie that we rarely get to see. Being a tv movie should not make a difference. "Meteor" is a joke.

  11. She was 41 when she did The Cracker Factory. It was one of the finest pieces of work she did at that stage of her life if not the finest. She gave a powerful performance in that film. I have seen Meteor, MAYBE, 3 TIMES. I have watched The Cracker Factory more than I can tell you. LOVE IT!

  12. I too am tired of reading the same old biographical information in the media about Natalie's death that is totally inaccurate! Thank you to the person who wrote back and corrected TCM as I am going to do the same. We all should remind the media from time to time that they sometimes don't get it right. To say Natalie might've been having an affair with Walken while presenting her as star of the month is terribly insulting.
If they are going to go that far, why not talk about the bottle smashing episode, too? Leave it alone or tell ALL!

  13. Miss Rulli, I have seen countless erroneous accounts of Natalie's death online, there are hundreds of sites that, as you so succinctly put it " got it wrong." It would be an act of shear futility to try and track down and correct them all but the the major sites-TCM for one, does seem to be a place where the truth has a half a chance of emerging. We just have to be diligent and politely but firmly root out the most egregious falsehoods and correct them when we find them. I don't do it for the glory, the truth is it's own reward all the reward anyone could ask for.

  14. Remember...this is the last night for Natalie's movies on TCM. Her movies go all night long and if I don't fall asleep will be watching. Unfortnately, her movies are never shown anymore so you have to buy the DVD's. I think they may show a couple in July again. Interesting that TCM never had Wagner talking about Natalie. He did work with Natalie and was with her when she died.
