The Adorable Natalie Wood

I love this photo of Natalie. Her smile in it reminds me of her smile on the cover of "Goodbye Natalie" .... Posting it as my last post until Friday... busy week ahead. Wishing everyone a good week...

  5. We can only wonder about what Natalie would've been giving us today. I bet she still would've been shining.
I watched 'The Last Married Couple in America' last night with my husband. I actually cried for Natalie last night, all these years later. How beyond tragic the loss of her life is. HC

  6. I loved her in TLMCIA movie. I loved her in most every movie, but I also wish she had lived to make more of them. I think her best roles were ahead of her, because only someone like Natalie could top This property Is Condemned. What a loss.

  7. anon 3:58Sounds like xs3 who is, trust me, not a fan. A fan does not do what she is doing. A fan does not rip someone apart who cannot defend themselves, repeating every bit of cheap gossip she had read.

  8. that is xs3. Check her post on imdb concerning Natalie's love life.
It is full of her own beliefs which she is trying to make it sound like fact and people are already telling her off.
She is a homphobe. Just read the post on imdb and all will be revealed and we ccan move on.

  9. That is not me (not as if there's anything wrong with what that person posted). Quite childish of you to be dragging your own unrelated personal issues onto this site.

  10. oh, it's very related.

  11. I am the person who left the comment about Natalie's best roles being ahead of her and I see I may have been misunderstood. It was a compliment meaning Natalie was fantastic in TPIC, and only toppable by her own self, because she strived to improve all of the time. I see I was mistaken for someone else and sorry if I caused anyone a problem. LM

  12. I will include my full initials (LMD) in the future. I do not comment much but never would say anything negative about dear Natalie. Marti knows who I am and that Natalie means the world to me.
    Once again, sorry. LMD

  13. sorry for the misunderstanding. The trolls put us all on guard.

  14. That is why a sign in would shoo away all the trash and leave us in peace.

  15. No problem, I understand there have been problems. If not a sign in, why not add initials? This is a good blog. LMD

  16. LMD, the only part of the initial thing that won't work is that anyone can type in your initials and impersonate you. It's done on other sites which is why most people post anonymously.

    I vote for the sign-in.

  17. Nah, I like the words at Marti's blog they make us spell to post anonymously. I tend to get combinations that fit Wagner. One was uperlie.
I accidentally added an s and submitted superlie.

Seriously, sign-ins are limited. I often post from other's computers where I don't want to sign-in. I think this is fine.

  19. I love the scene in the office in which Helen told Bob Weston that she was a father figure to him. Natalie's facial expression was priceless and so pretty! Beyond beautiful with those big brown eyes!

  20. Anony 9:03am. I know, there are so many scenes where she puts a big smile on my face and I would start to laugh because she is so good and funny. I just love this movie. This is the movie I first saw her in for the first time and just fell in love at 10 yrs old, and that was a very long time ago...LOL Going to help out at my friends shop again today so I will take another one of Natalie's movies with me. Thanks, Pam

  22. Marti,
I follow you on Twitter and just finished reading your book. My head is spinning. I had NO IDEA Natalie's death was so mis-read! There are so many problems in our world, some that people might consider far more urgent and/or pressing than reopening a 30 year closed case, but it's so much more important in the bigger scheme of things. Justice for Natalie will make a statement far more relevant than some people might realize. This was a grave injustice for this CITIZEN who lost her life under terrible circumstances. She DESERVES her justice just as any one of us would. I think the celebrity factor involved is what hinders this overlooked case. Everyone wants to avoid media and when important issues need them most, where are they? I guess Lindsay and Charlie have the spotlight presently, but someone like Natalie Wood and her questionable death deserve it more! Thank you for your eyeopener book! Vanessa

  23. Vanessa, Thank you for your comment. I agree, even the media has failed Natalie. The credible journalists who could shed light on this travesty of justice could do so much more. Again, thank you for the comments about GNGS.

  24. If the eyes are truly a window into the soul, Natalie sure proves that. She draws people in with the qualities that her eyes exude - vulnerability, intelligence, kindness, humor, gentleness, intensity . . . . . no wonder people respond to her and her acting. She truly was (and is) unforgettable.

  25. Well put Colleen. And so true.

She had so much innocence and wonder in her eyes when she was young.
