Dinghy Bumpers

Floating here in the water are the dinghy bumpers Dennis described to me. They would flush against the swim step to prevent a "banging dinghy." They were used when being down for the night when it was windy or the water was choppy. Although there was a persistent drizzling the night of Natalie Wood's death, the ocean was rather calm. The currents were strong as the currents usually become at night when they turn, but the surface of the ocean in the cove areas was smooth. Dennis did not use the dinghy bumpers the night of Nov. 28, 1981 when the group returned from dinner at Doug's Harbor Reef.  The dinghy was secured, flush horizontally at the rear of the Splendour with two lines about 12 ft. apart AT CLEATS AT THE TOP OF THE BOAT'S BACK WALL. The lame theory that Natalie was out on a wet deck in her socks securing a banging dinghy disturbing her sleep is a flat out fabrication.

1) She wouldn't have gone out to a wet deck wearing only socks.
2) The dinghy couldn't have floated away on its own because she would've been able to work only one line at a time.
3) She had never gone to sleep that fateful night. She was angry because her husband had just smashed a wine bottle in every one's face in the main salon and she was arguing with her husband over it.
4) The dinghy rarely banged against the Splendour. This is something both Dennis Davern and Robert Wagner both know.
5) Natalie would've called upon Dennis to secure the dinghy if there had been a problem.
6) Natalie never did boat chores of this nature.
7) THERE WAS NO NEED TO USE THE SWIM STEP TO RE-TIE DINGHY LINES -- SOMETHING NATALIE WOULD NEVER HAVE DONE IN THE DARK OF A WET NIGHT!

Natalie Tribute by Skyler

Skyler FB'd this tribute to me he created today. She truly was a star in every sense of the word.

Remembering Natalie Wood, July 20, 1938 - Nov. 29, 1981

Of all the Hollywood deaths we hear about, few affect us with the gut-pounding impact we experienced upon hearing of the senseless, tragic death Natalie Wood experienced. How could this woman have drowned? It’s the questioned everyone asked.

She was fun-loving, pretty, wise and wonderful. She was ambitious, meticulous, and professional. She carried herself with dignity and grace, yet knew how to let her hair down. She loved life and not only embraced personal aspirations and goals, she worked toward improving herself always. She was strong, kind, compassionate, and caring…a true friend to many.

Natalie loved learning. She was well-read, intelligent, and articulate. She was trendy beyond her own knowledge of how many people she actually did inspire. She was admired and adored.

Natalie’s eyes spoke volumes. Beyond their dark beauty, her eyes served as a window to the soul of a woman we couldn’t help but admire.

What Natalie wanted most was a peaceful home life, one filled with love and respect. Raising her daughters was her truest joy. Some people call her love of her work her personal demon, but nothing is further from the truth. Natalie sacrificed to continue her career, only to be sacrificed for it.

She was graceful, vibrant, playful, fun and funny. She was cute, pretty, and to this day, the most stunningly beautiful actress Hollywood and the world have ever seen. To this day, she is unmatchable.
She was busy. She lives on through the acclaimed work she accomplished in her too short life, and her classic films are infinite. She is a legend of unmatchable proportions.

Natalie Wood will be admired forever. There are very few people in all of history who acquire that level of accomplishment, but she is truly a vital part of Hollywood history. There is nothing more tragic than a loving mother being robbed of the opportunity to raise her children. Nothing. On this 29th anniversary of Natalie Wood’s tragic death, we know she will always be remembered. Natalie Wood.

The Enigma of Natalie Wood’s Death Solved in New Book | Publishing In the 21st Century

Publisher's official Internet announcement.

November 28, 1981

This is the date Natalie Wood ended up in the ocean at approximately 11:06 PM. She did not drown immediately. She cried out for help but was deliberately left to fend for herself. Her down jacket helped her to stay afloat, thus alive, but hypothermia and fear made for a very torturous night for Natalie, an ordeal impossible to survive. The nearby boaters, Marilyn Wayne and John Payne heard Natalie's cries for help, and tried to get assistance but they didn't pursue it when all went quiet.
It all boils down to a call for help that should have been made by the person who knew how she got into the water, but he not only refused to call for professional help, he refused to allow the only person who wanted to help to touch the radio or search light switch. Instead, he poured booze for that person and encouraged him to drink.

New Lies

I've been corresponding with former Coast Guard Lieutenant, Roger Smith, over the past few days (he is not the person I talked with about case reopening, although Roger hopes for that as we do).

Roger recently made a visit to Avalon on Catalina Island for a dedication ceremony of a new Life Guard Fire Station and he wrote a note to the Isthmus crew afterwards. Many responded to him and said they are relieved to have finally learned the truth about what happened the night Natalie Wood died. But, they told him that Doug Bombard is doing the same thing Detective Rasure did when contacted by CNN producer last March: he's making up his own stories about that fateful night. Bombard is retired and apparently, as an Islander described, still tries to act like someone in charge, and like a jock. Seems he isn't buying the fact that Natalie wasn't untying the dinghy and is telling all sorts of wild scenarios.

Seems that the men who made the gravest mistakes in this case want to spare their reputations for vanity, and will continue distorting the truth. I take consolation in the fact that most of the Isthmus people say they believe the truth has been told through Dennis, but it is utterly frustrating that those who could contribute to the truth (i.e., Bombard, Rasure, Noguchi, Walken, Wagner ...) remain silent, fabricate, or continue to tell outright lies. Roger Smith always suspected what was told in GNGS.

Her Last: Brainstorm - Movie Trailer - 1983

HER FIRST: HAPPY LAND (1943) NATALIE WOOD DON AMECHE

She drops an Ice Cream Cone.

This Thanksgiving is for Natalie Wood

My Thanksgiving has started off fantastically because my entire morning thus far has involved recognition for Natalie Wood. First of all, I read a new 5-star review (up to 65 reviews now with 42 of them 5-star rating!) That says a lot for Natalie. Then, I received an email and phone call from a very important person who has every qualification to bring Natalie the justice she deserves. We talked for close to an hour early this morning, and this is the most wonderful sign I could ever hope to receive for bringing the Natalie case the recognition and resolution it deserves.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving at Natalie's - 29 years ago, before and after

Thanksgivings spent at Natalie’s Canon Drive home was the holiday that kicked off the entire season for their friends and family who gathered there for fun, food, love and laughter. Everyone played pool, listened to music, and generally were boisterously happy. Willie Mae, Natalie’s housekeeper and nanny, would set up a spectacular buffet and she would add different dishes each year, and traditional treats as per Natalie's request. Natalie adored tradition. There was a warm, welcoming, and family spirit generating through everyone present. They all counted on that spirit to carry them through the holiday season, through the frantic shopping trips in Beverly Hills Lana and Natalie would make, stopping at day's end at a nearby restaurants to have a drink...until Natalie’s Christmas Eve party each year where Santa would show up and Nat’s daughters, Natasha and Courtney, and Lana's little girl, Evan, would have smiles of pure joy lighting up the room. Natalie's mother, "Mud", especially enjoyed this special time of year. The Christmas before the end of that world, Natalie gave her Mother the "golden Dress" she had promised her when she was only a child, and had begun to work in films. It was her way of saying thank you for all the things Mud had done for Natalie. As Lana tells it, "it was simply wonderful."

Then came Thanksgiving 1981. Mud wore the golden dress to Natalie's home that night. Natalie had invited everyone to show up at precisely 7:22. Lana thought that odd and while on the phone with Nat that afternoon kiddingly asked her "what's happening at precisely 7:22? Oddly, Natalie responded with no giggles, and claimed flatly that that's what time she wanted everyone to show up. Right away, Lana sensed something was wrong.. Natalie was not her usual holiday self. The tension was papable over the phone, and thickened as the night wore on at Natalie's home.

Lana remembers the entire day was strange, unlike previous Thanksgivings. Natalie was forcing merriment. R.J. was rather sullen, and the kids, specifically Natasha, was literally begging Natalie not to go away on Splendour the next day. But Natalie was unmoved and determined that Natasha go to her friends and Nat was to go on the boat. There was pouring, non-stop rain. It was not a pleasant Thanksgiving. Natalie was planning her Splendour outing for the next three days, but no one could attend the cruise except for Christopher Walken, and Natalie did not want to postpone the outing. She thought the weather would improve and she wanted to do some early Christmas shopping on Catalina Island. The weather prediction was not good for the next few days. But the boat trip stayed firm. She got on the phone with Dennis when he called and told him to be ready near noon.

It would be the last Thanksgiving Natalie's loved ones would spend with her.

Thanksgivings thereafter were hard for Natalie's loved ones, especially for the first few years. Lana found herseld alone with her daughter and Mother. Gone was the joyful, party-filled atmosphere with lots of wonderful, familiar faces. Tears replaced laughter.

Many times after 1981, Lana spent Thanskgivings at a restaurants, completely ignoring what day it was.. Hiding feelings worked for a while. Mud grieved for every Thanksgiving until the day she passed away, But, as a loving mother, herself, Lana never wanted for her daughter to suffer the tragic memories of 1981, so on some years she would cook turkey and attempt to enjoy what they could sacrifice of the holiday in years to come. To this day, however, not a Thanksgiving comes and goes without memories consuming Lana of the sister she truly loved with all of her heart.

Lana and Dennis both feel Natalie's presence even more since this bittersweet year when even more information became available about Natalie's tragic night 29 years ago.

Lana says: "We can all think about the what-ifs, but in all truth, it is too painful to relive, wondering how all of our lives might be different today, too painful and pointless. I am relieved that people are finally hearing Natalie’s voice but it saddens me and makes me angry as well. I do not believe that "closure" exists when there is such a terrible tragedy, but if it could come, it might be comforting. The ripples still surround us and always will. Thanksgivings without Natalie are different, they are sad, and the day is a painful reminder of the worst day of my life, but I also have a family I love and cherish and we move on. We try to enjoy the traditions of a day most families look forward to all year long. I want that for my children and grandchildren, as I am so grateful for the love we share. I will always, no doubt, miss my sister terribly. I will baste my family’s turkey and prepare the trimmings. It’s what we do. We go on."

Dennis says: "We will not reach the 30th anniversary of dear Natalie's death without every effort made to have the LACSD reopen Natalie's case. I am willing to cooperate with them in anyway I can. I have relived that terrible weekend every Thanksgiving since but until the truth is resolved and accepted, I won't have any closure. I will always miss Natalie -- the most beautiful, together woman I have ever known or ever will know. I'll be having Thanksgiving with my family and my children get to share the day with their mother. I only wish it could have been that way for Natalie's daughters throughout the past 29 years. I wish so much had been different that weekend."

Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday weekend. I am grateful for so many things, including all of the support I receive from all of you who "get it" and who care. To not be alone in this effort is a comfort I can't even begin to describe. Thank you all so much! Enjoy your Turkey Day, football games, shopping, and most of all, enjoy the company of your loved ones. Happy Thanksgiving! Sincerely, Marti

The Infamous Swim Step

On the night of Natalie Wood's death, the dinghy, Valiant, was tied and secured with TWO lines, and positioned to flush horizontally with the swim step authorities supposed she slipped on while tightening a banging dinghy. The theory is ABSURD for many reasons. If she fell from the swim step, she would've fallen into the dinghy the way it was positioned. If she was securing it from the swim step, it couldn't have floated away, as she couldn't untie two lines at once 12 ft. apart. If she were "securing a dinghy" it could have been accomplished from the deck of the Splendour because the dinghy was tied to two cleats at the TOP of the back wall. If she had stepped onto the swim step, she wouldn't have done it on a rainy night in her socks. And all of this easy enough information for the police to have figured out had they chosen to truly INVESTIGATE, might have led to them learning that Natalie first and foremost was scared to death of deep dark water and would have never put herself in a such a situation to fall into it. Furthermore, she had a skipper on deck who would've taken care of these kind of tasks. One right question by authorities might've led to discovering the truth about why there was glass shattered all over the main salon. "Rough seas" didn't break the wine bottle. Natalie's angry husband smashed it and accused her and Christopher Walken of having an affair. No, there was NOT a thorough investigation into Natalie's death. It is long overdue!

Thank you to Readers of Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour: Your concern for Natalie Wood's legacy is admirable and appreciated.

Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour is doing well this November, as we continue to remember Natalie Wood. I will continue to post updates about the case at this blog. Thank you to all readers, and to all who've signed the petition to help get the Natalie Wood case reopened.
This morning, GNGS is #24 in True Crime, and in the top 25 of two other categories. No, this tragedy will not go away until this piece of Hollywood history is officially corrected. Natalie Wood didn't fall off her boat while performing a chore in her socks and nightgown. She was on the open back deck in the middle of a terrible argument with her husband when she "somehow" ended up in the cold, dark water she feared her entire life. Please sign the petition is you already haven't.

Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour Now Available in Paperback and Kindle, etc.

Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour is available at Amazon again in Kindle, e-downloads,  and PAPERBACK!!

I'm getting information about Barnes and Noble availability. The reason the paperback is more expensive than the hardcover is because the new publisher is releasing it as a glossy cover paperback larger in size.

I believe previous paperback orders have been voided, but I am not sure. That has become another little mess, but at least the new information is now available to new readers.

Thank you to all who may want the paperback for your collection (and information) and I will so appreciate what any of you can do to help this story be known. Also, I believe the new versions are taking new reviews... only the hardcover has the original reviews posted, and yesterday there was a new short but powerful review posted at the hardcover Amazon page.

Soon, the promotions begin, and the Natalie Wood story gets scrutinized again--as it deserves to be.

Thank you to all for your support.

Sincerely, Marti

Thomas Noguchi, Coroner To The Stars

It's sad that in Natalie Wood's case, Noguchi went under fire for telling truth and wanting to conduct a psychological profile in Natalie Wood's death. Noguchi, as usual, stroked his own ego in the middle of an important investigation. Instead of working with the detectives, Noguchi chose to work with the media and the public. The information he released in a press conference was factual, but he pissed off the detectives because he took it upon himself to "work the case." He was asked to retract information before it was investigated all because he released the information before it was properly investigated.

There was an argument aboard the Splendour and it wasn't over politics, as was reported in the news. The argument happened because Robert Wagner was jealous of Christopher Walken, and the argument went way out of control...to the point of Natalie Wood losing her life in a cove of the Pacific Ocean.

Noguchi got fired because he sought truth in Natalie's death. Dennis Davern, Robert Wagner, and Christopher Walken all allowed this injustice to occur by remaining silent for their various and obvious reasons. Thomas Noguchi will not talk with me. His attorney is very kind when he tells inquirers that Noguchi will never talk about the case again. Self preservation, once again.

It's so disturbing.

Lana (and Laurie)

Lana as of late has been especially tormented emotionally over the death of her sister. Call it delayed reaction...continued reaction....the thing that will never go away...mixed emotions....NOT KNOWING....topped by a negligent investigation into her sister's death, and the wear and tear keeps taking its toll.

When I said we won't discuss tabloid articles here, I meant that we're not going to carve tabloid articles into stone at this blog. The people who believe in Wagner's innocence will jump at the chance to promote the recent Globe article that claims Lana is praying for Wagner's forgiveness. The Globe stretched Lana's words so far that true meaning disappeared.

Lana WONDERS what she ever did to receive such annimosity from Wagner. At one point in her life, she pleaded and prayed to know why she became a victim of Natalie's death, and rest assured, she IS a victim.
Lana once hired a private investigator, Milo Speriglio, whom I had the opportunity to speak with a decade ago. Milo had no doubt that a degree of foul play was involved in Natalie's death but he was at a loss to put anything together without an eye and ear witness. The Globe once published a "Natalie Wood was Murdered" headline, quoting Milo. Milo had never said that and he settled out of court with the Globe. Milo wanted to talk with Dennis but Milo never had that opportunity. That is around the time Dennis called Lana and told her about the terrible argument aboard the Splendour the night Natalie died. Lana has since never once begged, pleaded, or prayed for Wagner's forgiveness and she doesn't now.

Lana assisted Suzanne Finsatd with Natasha. Lana co-produced the TV movie The Mystery of Natalie Wood. Lana told CNN she wants her sister's case reopened just this past March. Lana backs Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour. Lana has said on radio and TV this year that she believes Dennis Davern.
A Globe tabloid article does not wipe all of that away.

I spoke with Lana since the article and she is still willing to cooperate with an official request to have the Wood case reopened. She wants the officials involved in regards to what happened the night her sister died. The Globe article will eventually be ammended by and with more credible media outlets.

The theme of how tormented Dennis always was is definitely woven through GNGS, but there are many others just as tortured over the loss, and just as angered over the lack of justice. Lana is number one amongst them.

Note: I am going to be extremely busy in the near future and may not be able to attend the blog as often as I'd like. My friend and confidant LAURIE who knows this case through and through and who I trust completely will keep everyone informed, answer questions, post, etc. in this thread and others. I will post any book updates and media information or let Laurie know to inform you. Please rest assured that there is better news coming for Natalie's case.

Veteran's Day

Today I spent Veteran's Day like many people spend federal holidays: I went to a few stores holding Veteran's Day sales, and ate lunch out. There are many people honoring the day in special and more pertinent ways. I was really thinking about how special a day this truly is for all of the people who serve our country. And I thought about all of the people who have given their lives for our freedom. Our country is a really special one, and it troubles me how divided we've become. It really boils down to mutual respect. We're all entitled to opinions and ideals but when we close our minds completely, we lose a part of ourselves in the process. I can't help but recall the unity we all seemed to share after our nation was attacked in 2001. It's a shame that sometimes it takes a tragedy to bring people together, but tragedies can also separate people, on a large and/or smaller scale.

I am grateful for those who are serving and have served our county, and I am glad there is a day called Veteran's Day to recognize them. Today, I thank retired Coast Guard Captain, Roger Smith, for his dedication to his job. He tried for years to have safety policies changed on a small, but important island in the Pacific. He truly believes, had his ideas been activated for Catalina Island, that there's a good chance Natalie Wood could still be with us today. (Had anyone paid attention to Roger's safety issues, he would've been stationed a football field's distance away from where Natalie went overboard and he would've heard the off-frequency first radio call placed at 1:30 AM, and Marilyn Wayne would've reached Two Harbors instead of Avalon with her phone call.)

To the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and anyone serving to protect us as a nation and individually... Happy Veteran's Day, and Thank You!

Amazon Notice sent to pre-ordering paperback readers

Amazon has sent a notice to people who've pre-ordered the paperback, notifying of a delay until December 16th. I do believe the paperback will be available before mid-December (Amazon clarifies they will send as soon as available) and they are asking their customers to choose to cancel or approve the delay.  I'm not sure what to recommend....as I'm not sure if the new projected delivery date comes from our old distribution company or the new publisher yet. I had pre-ordered a paperback, too, just so I could see how Amazon will follow the changes. I kept my order intact so that I can keep abreast of how it's being handled and I will post updates here. Maybe it's best to cancel and then reorder when the paperback is actually posted at Amazon for immediate delivery. Whatever you choose, thank you for bearing with these changes, and thank you for your interest in the paperback. I apologize for any inconvenience.

The Thanksgiving Natalie Wood "haunted" me.

After Suzanne Finstad’s “Natasha” was published in 2001, I got real busy on GNGS. I had met Dr. Lyndon Taylor and he helped me tremendously as he was a true turning point for GNGS. But after the 9/11 tragedy, coupled with a job change and some family things going on, I put GNGS on the back burner. I had hoped Suzanne’s accurate timeline in “Natasha” would surely serve Natalie’s case but the 9/11 tragedy superceded most everything in our lives then.

Time got away from me. In 2003, I realized that I was hardly thinking about GNGS so I gave it some effort. I wanted to finish for Natalie’s memory but I hadn’t been talking with Dennis much, and was busy with so many other things. By 2005, GNGS was about the last thing I was able to fit into my busy schedule. On Thanksgiving Evening 2005, I hadn’t realized it until something strange happened, but I hadn't even though about Natalie that day.

First, I want to clarify that I’m only relatively superstitious, meaning I’ll knock on wood occasionally, and I won’t open an umbrella in the house. It would take A LOT to have me believe something supernatural or eerie. But, there’s simply NO explanation for what happened on Thanksgiving Night 2005.

I had company for Thanksgiving that day, and my daughter and daughter-in-law decided to spend the night so we could go shopping early on Black Friday. It was a habit in my home to watch “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” on Thanksgiving evenings. (I’m a huge fan of both Steve Martin and the late John Candy and the movie always makes me laugh and choke-up.)

Before starting the movie, I went upstairs to get a few blankets. Normally, I would’ve fetched blankets from a closet. Instead, even after I had the closet door open, I went to the spare bedroom and flipped on the light switch. I had been in the attic a few days earlier and brought down four small boxes of various holiday items that hadn’t been touched since 1993 when I moved to my home here. I had stacked the boxes on a chair in the spare room, on top of blankets, and left them there. When I went to pick up the lightweight boxes to place on the dresser, I picked up all four of them at once, but somehow they separated and one box was left on the chair. Staring up at me, on top of the box left on the chair was this posted photograph here of Natalie! (Oddly, with a torn part of the photo on her cheek!)

I literally jumped back, because I knew instantly that the photo had NEVER been with these boxes, and there was absolutely no explanation for how the photo could’ve found its way between these very old boxes! I couldn't recall the last time I had seen it, but it was definitely downstairs, probably in my office years ago. The photo had been given to me by Carol Lallier after she visited California to visit Natalie’s grave many years AFTER these four boxes went into the attic and never came down. I never kept any of my book materials, photos, or items in the attic, or in the spare room.

As I was alone upstairs in the bedroom, seeing the photo of Natalie gave me chills. I felt as if Natalie had found a way of reminding me that it was Thanksgiving Day and I hadn’t even thought of her, as if she were sending me a message to not forget about her. I paid attention.
Because this peculiar, unexplainable incident happened on Thanksgiving evening, it was especially compelling. I felt guilty and I teared-up. And there hasn’t been a day since then that I haven’t dedicated a portion of my day, small or large in some form or another, to finishing GNGS for Natalie. I brought the photo downstairs with me that night, put it in front of my computer, and it has remained there to this very minute I removed it only to scan it in to present here.

For the life of me, I’ll never be able to figure out how that photo got where I found it. Along with the combination of events that took me to the photo that night, I’ll always wonder.
Sometimes wake-up calls come in strange ways.

Natalie Wood - A Thousand Thoughts of You

Last November a link for this video was posted in a comment at my blog. I wasn't as blogger savvy just starting out then, but thought it a nice time to post it now. Natalie was so special. I always think of November as Natalie's month, not only because it's the month of the tragedy, but more so because it was her happiest time of year. Thanksgiving started the festive holiday season she so cherished.

Interesting Photo Found

I found this website where you can see photo #8 in color (I had to scan it in to show here) called 100 Words: Matt Eich's On An American Solstice

100 Words: Matt Eich's On An American Solstice : The Picture Show : NPR

The color photo of this image looks astoundingly like Natalie. I emailed the website to ask more about this photo of a woman's face with a glare of lights behind her forming a halo. 100 Words means to caption the photo as you like. If this isn't Natalie, wait until you see the strong resemblance in the color photo! I happened across this photo, which reminds me of an eerie experience Thanksgiving 2005 I will share with you in another post.

November 1981 - November 2010

Our publicity campaign is on hold until the new release coming very soon, but Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour today at 5 PM has an excellent Amazon ranking -- all on its own.

We are:
Amazon Bestsellers Rank: #12,719 in Books (Of over 5,000,000 books!)

#45 in Books > Biographies & Memoirs > Arts & Literature > Actors & Actresses
#48 in Books > Entertainment > Movies > Biographies
#53 in Books > Nonfiction > True Accounts > True Crime

This is an amazing status for GNGS and the truth about Natalie's death. These stats help bring justice closer for Natalie. People apparently still think about her at this time of the year.

Original Photo To Be Used for Paperback

After lots of deliberation, we're sticking with this photo for the new release of "Goodbye Natalie Goodbye Splendour"  ... finalizing the cover choice was the last leg of production. We'll be released soon, and I'm looking forward to announcing the exact date. Another glitch, however, is that the paperback that was being offered through Phoenix has been removed from Amazon and other sites. We don't know if Amazion will send notices to those who've pre-ordered,  and transfer the orders to the new publisher automatically, or if previous orders will be canceled. I should have information soon about how it will work.
We're just days away!

Tragic Photo

The photo I had posted here is removed because it has been bothering me every time I visit the blog. Some of you feel the same way. I just want to say that I didn't post it for sensationalism...I posted it because it's the graphic reality of what really was lost that terrible morning in Nov. 1981. November always reminds me of hearing of Natalie's death right afer that 1981 Thanksgiving and what crushing news it was to hear.

I posted the autopsy diagrams at this blog too a few months back because it's the evidence of the dozens of bruises on Natalie when she was found. I'm sorry if the photo I posted here and the autopsy posts offended anyone. It's a death case, a case we need reopened, and sometimes I get too caught up in "the case" part of it.  I've removed the photo. It's too sad and too graphic a reminder.
